ABOUT

Stephanie Ambrose is a lyric mezzo-soprano with a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance at the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music. Recently, Stephanie performed scenes from Rusalka as the Third Wood Sprite and prepared the role of Third Lady in Die Zauberflöte at the University of Denver. She has also performed as the Turnspit (Rusalka), La Principessa and La Maestra delle Novizie (Suor Angelica), Zita (Gianni Schicchi), Marcellina (Le Nozze di Figaro), and sang in the chorus of Bravo! Vail's production of Tosca. Some of her favorite partial roles include Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro), Hippolyta (A Midsummer Night's Dream), and Gianetta (L'elisir d'amore​). In addition to opera, Stephanie has performed in new works including Iwa the Caiman in Chappel Kingsland's The Firebringers, and was awarded 'Outstanding Performance of a Student Composition' for a student work she performed at the Lamont Composer Concert.
